How to configure a Windows Server 2003 terminal server



Windows-2003 Terminal Server

Step 1 : Setup windows server 2003

Step 2 : Installing Terminal Services
Step>2.1 : Start > all programs 
Step>2.2 : Administrative Tools > Manage Your server
Step>2.3 : Managing Your server Roles
Step>2.4 : Click Add or Remove a role 
Step>2.5 :  (Configure Your server Wizard) Next  
Step>2.6 : Choose Custom configuration  Next > Select terminal server (if configured NO) 
Step>2.7 : Next
 


Step 3 : Create User
Step>3.1 : Click the Start button, then Run Then type lusrmgr.msc
Step>3.2 : In the window that opens, right click in the right panel and click New User
Step>3.3 : In the New User dialog, type in your preferences for a new user name and password
Step>3.4 : Uncheck User must change password
Step>3.5 : check Password never expires  press Create
Step>3.6 : Close
Step>3.7 : Now, RIGHT CLICK the NEW USER and click PROPERTIES in the pop up menu.
Step>3.8 : Go to the Member of  tab and press the Add button
Step>3.9 : Type "Administrators" without the quotes,
Step>3.10: Then Press the Check Names button
(to complete the name, it will add the name of your computer)
Step>3.11 : Press OK When it is done
Step>3.12 : then Press OK on the Local Users and Groups dialog

Step 4 : Terminal Service Configuration
Step>4.1 : Start > All programs > Administrative tools > Terminal Service configuration
Step>4.2 : Select Connection
Step>4.3 : Select RDP-TCP right click in the right panel and click Properties
Step>4.4 : Go to the Permission  tab and press the Add button
Step>4.5 : Type "username" without the quotes,
Step>4.6 : Then Press the Check Names button
(to complete the name, it will add the name of your computer)
Step>4.7 : Allow all > OK
